Vlingo is an awesome speak to text program and it is amazing. One bug that its highlighted with android however is that it cant process voice command instructions over bluetooth in 2.1 (only 2.2 - newer). Its told that it will be fixed in 2.2.and it will really impacts the usability. Using a handsfree system is when you want to dictate something or give voice commands.
Its incredibly useful to dictate text messages while driving. On the plus side they have built in mic in Captivate and it is sensitive enough to hear commands when its mounted on dashboard. Speak to text is already built in, its incredible and its very accurate and car mode is best on Vlingo
Although few users reported it buggy with keypad as separate add on that didn't play nice. An update added the keypad into the native app, bringing the bugs. And all keypad apps kept freezing.
