Android 2.2 (FroYo, short for "Frozen Yogurt") was released over the Summer 2010, however not all of the devices that will get this update have received it yet. Each manufacturer and carrier needs to add their custom modifications before it can be officially released.

Of course, not all devices will get this update right away and others wont get it at all. Each manufacturer and carrier often choose to add their custom modifications which tend to delay the official release.
