It makes your phone function like a walkie-talkie. Instead of having to dial, wait for an answer, then talk, you just push the button and speak. The other person will hear a notification beep and then your voice without having to press a button to answer. If you've ever used a Nextel phone, those are PTT.
Its reported that its works fine for most people over WiFi, but there are problems with 3Gs may be because of port blocking. This app works amazing on the new droid x and if you have quite a few friends they all can hook up and you can conference ptt all your friends at once.
Although it’s a little glitchy from time to time but concept is pretty cool and I hope they advance this app some more. The developers say on their Facebook page that they are working on a version for the iPhone. However, they cautioned that it might take a little time to get it approved by Apple.
